I Know a Guy

Privacy

Your information, in plain English.

What I collect

Only what you give me. If you ask for a quote, that’s your photos, project details, ZIP code, and the phone or email you want to be reached at. If you join a waitlist, it’s your email and ZIP. If you apply to be featured, it’s your company and contact details, license and insurance information, and anything you upload.

I don’t run hidden trackers or sell profiles. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics tell me which pages get used — not who you are.

What I share — and with whom

This is the important one. When you request a quote, I pass your photos, project details, and contact information to the local companies for that trade so they can get back to you with a quote. That’s the whole point of the request — but you should know it before you send it.

I never sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone other than the companies needed to answer your request.

How I use it

To connect you with local companies, to tell you when the guide launches in your ZIP, and to run the guide itself. That’s it.

Keeping it, and removing it

I keep what I need to run the guide and no longer. Want your information removed, or want to know what I have on file? Email or call me and I’ll take care of it.
